Mersaco, Sanofi Promoter in Lebanon, in partnership with SEHA Program (Sanofi Educational Healthcare Academy), hosted a lecture on "Biologics vs Biosimilars: How to decide?" on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 at the OPL Auditorium presented by Dr. Ziad El Rassy.

SEHA is a program that emphasizes the crucial role of the Pharmacist as a front liner in the Lebanese patient journey, and provides non-biased medical information about the disease, the treatment options, and drug usage, and finally raises awareness on the risks and dangers associated with suspected medicines.

Dr Ziad El Rassy, Professor of General and oncologic surgery at Saint Georges University Hospital, emphasized the pivotal role that pharmacists play when it comes to assessing the differentiation between Biologics and Biosimilars. Furthermore, he highlighted the critical contribution of pharmacists to patient care.

With around 100 pharmacists, the lecture achieved outstanding success.
