Understanding and treating dry eye diseases based on the latest emerging concepts is at the core of Mersaco’s mission to support the Lebanese pharmacist’s continuous education.  

For that, a series of educational campaigns across Lebanon has been launched in October in two waves hosting top accounts, in collaboration with Professor Shady Awwad, who is a leader in the anterior segment field, an international speaker, and an award winner in his specialty, where he shared the latest and emerging updates in the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of dry eye diseases, as well as how to differentiate between the various treatment options available in the market.

The feedback from both waves was positive and encouraging. The pharmacists appreciated the knowledge shared and expressed confidence gained on how to approach patients suffering from dry eyes in their daily practice.

This success could not have been achieved without the help, teamwork, and great efforts of the Eye Care team, and the high level of engagement and collaboration between the promotion business partner and distribution teams.
